Summersville

I’ve written about the new fabric collection from Lucie Summers before, but I was excited to finally get some in my hands. Thanks, Lu! You may be familiar with Lucie’s Etsy shop, Summersville, where she sells her lovely silkscreened fabric printed with simple and charming designs. Now some of these designs are available on printed quilting cotton from Moda and now you can buy yards and yards of them. I love the colors and how these fabrics really retain the hand-printed look.

Where can you buy it? Lucie has the stockists linked in the sidebar of her blog here. Looking for a project idea? She colored the fabric with fabric markers here. I can just imagine one of my girls wearing a skirt that she has colored herself. Or you could make boy’s pants or an art tote and have the kids color the fabric. Also, Lynne has a great tutorial for a framed art pillow using the Summersville collection. The alphabet print could be stretched on a canvas and hung in a kid’s room. And here’s Lucie’s tutorial for her Under Over quilt block. Or a pouch with the Scandi print (in red below). Many possibilities.
