I just updated my blog, so take a look around and let me know what you think! Still more work to do, and the slow loading speed will hopefully get fixed this weekend when I can call in tech support (my husband). I have been blogging for over ten years, but social media has fragmented my communications, so I hardly post here anymore. This year, I’d like to get back to writing more and open a shop soon. I’ve been massively conflicted about my business direction because I just want to do more. Like the art critic who gave up on art, I enjoy sewing, but truthfully, it’s not my passion. When my kids were younger, I loved sewing for them and with them, but sewing for myself doesn’t have the same appeal. I want to be both creative and productive, so I’ll get up every day and treat my creative process like the work it is — hard to start, but enthralling to experiment, and rewarding when complete.
