I thought I’d show you some photos of how the auction quilt is coming along. We still have kids who need to work on it, and of course we still have to put it together (and remove those chalk lines), but I’m really loving the handmade look. Over 400 kids will have sewn on this quilt when it’s all finished. And while it’s been a time-consuming process, it’s so exciting to see the kids get interested in sewing!
You can read my previous posts about this project here and here.
Wow! It’s looking great.
I love this project… and the vibrant fabrics you’ve chosen are perfect.
Can’t wait to see the finished product.
This is fantastic! I am so, very impressed that you have motivated all those children to stitch anything! It is so time consuming – I applaud your efforts! Can’t wait to see this finished!
It looks so great – the kids did such a wonderful job with the stitching! And I love the colors; so much fun stuff going on in this quilt!
I just told the director at our Montessori school about your quilt. It’s such a wonderful idea. I wish I could sit down and have a conversation with you about how you put the plan into action at the school. I’d love to be a fly on the wall and see the students sew.
How wonderful! The finished quilt will be a treasure.
I love this project,It’s so wonderful and vibrant,I also work whit children at schools and kindergardens, Can’t wait to see this quilt finished.
This is going to be stunning!
I. Think. You. Are. Nuts. But you are doing an *amazing* job with this project. HUGE kudos to you. I look forward to seeing the final result.
This is “museum” quality. So many people will derive so much by viewing it – I hope the auction winner puts it on permanent public display. The kids involved would continue to derive a lot out of the piece in the years ahead – as would the adults involved in orchestrating the project. Incredible job!
I absolutely love this!
