If you sent us a holiday card, it’s likely to end up under our tree next year. Don’t worry, I didn’t cut up anyone’s family photographs. This is certainly not a new idea, but just a reminder to re-use. I cut our cards with a circular hole punch, added a small hole for ribbon and stored the tags to use next year.

  1. what a great idea!!! gift tags!!waycool cause i never have a tag to put on the gifts and now i do!! Thanks!!
    have a wonderful new year

  2. so very cute! too bad most of my friends send the photo Christmas cards. I’ll have to scrape some together though to make some of these cuties!

  3. Good idea! I also like to reuse cards by either taring off the front and adding it to a new blank card or cutting it to a needed size and attaching it to a dull plain gift bag using a hole puncher and fun brads.

  4. I have created these for years but without the large circle punch. Just free cut them into rectangles, squares and triangles (to accommodate the card design) and add the small hole punch for the ribbon. I often create more than one from a single card. Do not forget to use the simple sentiments on the card interior.

  5. What a good idea! Did you use a punch to make the circles? What size was it? I have some cards saved so I just need to find a punch.

  6. Great idea! You can also use them for kids’ Christmas thank you postcards. Just draw a line down the middle and use 1/2 for the thank you part, and 1/2 for the address!
