Here’s another sample that I sent to Quilt Market. A simple table runner. I was thinking of writing up a quick tutorial on this block if anyone is interested. Very easy and I think it would make a nice full-sized quilt.
Folk Modern Goes to Market
Sadly, I’m not going to Quilt Market in Portland this weekend, but these samples of Folk Modern are headed there. If you’ll be in Portland, be sure to check out the Seven Islands booth to see the entire collection!
FYI – the little dress is Oliver + S’s Roller Skate Dress in a size 2, the pillow is a variation of a quilt block I made for Modern Quilt Blocks. Hopefully I’ll get around to writing a tutorial for it. And the handbag is a variation of the Tiered Bag in 1, 2, 3 Sew (with an additional strap and more pleats).
Kokka’s Blog
Head over to Kokka’s blog to see a few projects made with my Stamped fabric collection. The blog is in Japanese, but if you use Chrome, then Google will ask if you want it translated, then it will translate it hilariously. I love these triangle pouches that Kokka made — I need to try making some of these soon.
Folk Modern Sewing
I am way behind on sewing for market, so it’s possible that what you see here will be the only samples to make it to Portland. These are a few photos from Instagram. But I love this fabric and hope you’ll like it too! You can see the full range of Folk Modern patterns and colorways in this post.
Oh, and Kim from True Up just pointed out that Seven Islands (the U.S. distributor for Kokka fabric) has a facebook page. So go “like” their page to see the latest Japanese fabrics headed this way.
More Stamped Projects
I never had a chance to take photos of the projects that I made for last fall’s quilt market, and now I think they’re still floating around Japan somewhere. So I thought I’d share a few other projects and tutorials made from my Stamped fabric that I’ve posted about before:
