Folk Modern Projects

folk modern citrus trees kokka bag

Just thought I’d share a couple of projects made by Kokka using my Folk Modern fabric collection. Above is the Citrus Trees print in blue and below is a sweet photo they took with the Medallions print in yellow and in green, and below that, another bag with the Rings print in gray. I’m not sure what patterns they used to make these bags, but I’ll check and get back to you! They’ve also shared a tutorial for this sweet Boston bag in my Tulips print.

Looks like the collection is popping up in stores — here, here and here.

  1. Beautiful collection. Fresh, elegant, fun…. classy! Can’t wait to play with some of these prints. Love your artful arrangements shown above. Somebody had fun playing with those little props. What pattern did you use for the Citrus Trees bag in the first photo? Folk Modern + this pattern were made for each other.

  2. Hi!
I was wondering what pattern you used for the first amazing bag pictured above?
i would love to make one!

  3. The prints are wonderful! I’d love to make the bottom “laptop” bag with the exact print 😀

I hope you find out soon what patterns they are from!

    thanks!

  4. Hi, Ellen, thank you for introducing a couple of projects from kokka-fabric.com. Some of the styling are inspired by your book, [1-2-3 Sew]. Glad to know these projects are welcome. Yes, I should check the pattern of ‘Citrus Tree bag’ and ‘laptop bag’…. Hopefully, there would be another chance to introduce these bags on our ‘craft and Sewing’. Atsuko

  5. I would definitely love to make that laptop bag, it looks perfect, much better than the boring black laptop cases you see most people with!

  6. Did anyone find out which patterns were used for these pretty bags? Still crazy about the Citrus Tree bag, it would be lovely in any of the folk modern prints.
