Made this little tunic for my younger daughter using the ladybug print from my Stamped fabric collection and the Roller Skate Dress & Tunic pattern from Oliver + S. This sewed up very quickly! Next I plan to make the dress version with the contrasting v-neck facing.
My older daughter would never wear anything like this, and my younger is more into sequined clothes these days, so I thought if I tried the tunic for her to wear with skinny pants, she might go for it. But her favorite store is an unbearably pink sparkly store in the mall. I really try to allow my kids to have their own sense of style, within reason. But wow, it’s a challenge.
ha! i’ve been pretty lucky with my girls so far… no sure how long that will continue though 😉 the tunic is super cute!
Hey, *I* would wear that tunic gladly!
What, that doesn’t make you feel better?
It is a really cute garment, though, and a perfect use of that fabric. Sometimes simple is right on the money.
It’s ADORABLE, and my daughter might have happily worn it before she found her free will. Now, alas, if I hate it, it’s her favorite. Such is the fate of the mother of teenagers.
OMG this is super cute! The fabric is awesome.
My daughter (10) has been hearing about the store Justice from all her friends and begged me to take her there. So I grit my teeth and did. One quick turn through the store and she quietly said, “Ok. I’m ready to go.” As soon as we got out to the aisle she said, “Sheesh! Don’t they know some girls like to wear black?” So we went to Hot Topic where she found a Doctor Who/My Little Pony mash-up T-shirt that she loved. And I breathed a huge sigh of relief. For now. 🙂
Very cute I would wear it..lol…My daughter who is 13 will not wear anything at allt hat is handmade. regardless of if she thinks the fabric is cute weeks befroe I attempt to make soemthing for her. She will hide the said item int eh back of her closet and swear it grew legs and walked away to be found later as she cleans her closet out that itnever fit correctly. When I knew it did as we are the same size. When she was young she loved for me to make her things . Would beg to go to the fabric store. Beg to buy patterns and fabric and I could never create it fast enough. So challenging now. So I have turned to quilting and sewing for the great neices and nephews.
it’s sweet 🙂
This is so adorable, love the fabric!
Hello, I love this ladybug tunic, do you sell these or any other clothing with this print on it? My daughter is having a ladybug party (1 years old) and I am looking for a cute top for her.
Kind Regards
Sofia
I would love to buy this tunic for my daughter’s 1st birthday. Do you sell these dresses?
