Less talk, more craft. One of my summer goals is to make more clothing for myself, so I used this Liberty of London Tana Lawn fabric from Purl Soho (Gray Asami Sayo 1175C) and made this simple blouse. I started in linen with this pattern, but the shape of the center insert and the gathers were just not flattering at all, so I simplified it. It’s still a boxy top, but I think it will work well with a pair of slim capri pants.
Wow. What a good eye you have ~ this design is SO pretty. The fabric print complements the blouse shape so well.
Well if you still don’t think it’s working, drop me a line because I think that is just what I’d like to be wearing this summer. With a pair of capri? Oh yes, you will be tres chic,n’est ce pas?
Very clean and classic looking. Well done!
I love this, great choice of fabric and would also look great tucked into a pencil skirt.
cutie! i just made that shirt today from the pattern! i like the gathers though ’cause they hide my post-baby belly….i guess i need to stop calling it that since my baby is 2. hmmm. i hope you have a better week 🙂
I love this top! Looking forward to getting 1-2-3 Sew so I can start learning to make pretty things.
It is perfect–and quite on trend. . . Such a happy adjustment!
