We headed to the Blue Ridge mountains for a quick escape from the pollen. This area had a massive ice storm on Christmas Day and the debris remains everywhere, as you can see at the bottom of the hill here. But look at this. Who doesn’t get excited about a rainbow?
Now back to reality. Hopefully I’ll get back to posting this week.
An escape from the pollen…and a rainbow??? Beautiful!
I was thinking the same thing…what a gorgeous pollen-free-shining-rainbow-weekend!
My boyfriend and I also went up on the Blue Ridge Parkway around the Meadows of Dan area. I was SHOCKED at the amount of debris lining both sides of the road. Then, we went up to Boone/Blowing Rock on Friday and there was just as much (if not more in Blowing Rock) debris up there!
beautiful!
hope you will be posting more soon, i miss your posts! 🙂
Blue Ridge!!! Oh I miss that part of country. Lived Charlotte area for 12 yrs and that was my favorite place to go. Now in LA past 7 months and you can understand why I miss it so much.
that pic looks like it straight out of the wizard of oz. fabulous!
I sense irony. The way it looks to me, the rainbow is light, and the twigs are dead trees. It’s beautiful.
Yes, our area got hit HARD this winter. I cannot wait for the leaves to come out and hide it a bit! There’s nothing like the NC Blue Ridge though. NOTHING! 🙂
I was thinking the same thing…what a gorgeous pollen-free-shining-rainbow-weekend!
