I did not make these, but my friend Trisha did. Aren’t they beautiful? She knits and then felts them. She has about 100 more of these — not kidding. I would say that she needs an Etsy shop, don’t you think? My daughter helped me choose these colors to match a drawing that she made and I think they are lovely together. Now, if my children would just stop wearing these bowls on their heads.
Trisha also inspired my six-year-old to try knitting again. She didn’t get too far today, but did do a row on her own. We say “Needle Under. Throw the yarn. Pull it through. Slip it off. Tug (gently).” I guess that I use the English method, although from what I gather it is less efficient. Oh well.
I’ve made a few of these before and I loved them. Very easy to do, and fun to see the end result.
Once I knit one of these and felted it I was hooked, couldn’t stop. They knit up quick, look beautiful and are fun to give as gifts.
okay–so I don’t knit.
I think if I tried it would take me 6 months to make one of these bowls.
But I do shop.

And if she did set up shop I hope it calls my name.
I love those bowls. I love how they are round and happy. I hate that I can’t knit or crochet or weave or anything involving fattish needles. I should pick it up, though. No, I MUST learn. Especially after seeing this. Beautiful, beautiful!

Aren’t they beautiful?! And, yes, Trisha definitely needs an etsy shop! There’s a “storefront” set up for her, but her slack friend never got it rolling beyond the set up phase. Bad friend!
The bowls are wonderful! They are so much more than just bowls, too. They are works of art! I can totally see the kids wearing them on their heads! Anything roundish and bowl-shaped seems to always go on the head-of course!
