Bust Magazine

Look! My screenprinted fabric is in the latest issue of Bust magazine. You can find the tutorial for these espadrilles online now! Melissa of A Happy Stitch used my fabric to create these shoes and she is offering limited-edition kits, or you can order fabric panels from my shop.

I was talking to my family about this magazine feature and I described Bust as a feminist magazine, to which my brother responded “I thought all women’s magazines were feminist?” Hahahahahahahahahahahaha.

My screenprinted designs were all created from handcut paper art, which no doubt exacerbated my carpal tunnel syndrome. Aging is fun! I’m making some pincushions with this fabric right now, so stay tuned.

Thank You

I have never used hearts in my design work, but these are for you! As an independent designer, it’s often a challenge to make ends meet, so I finally decided to sell my fabric online and I’m grateful for your support.

My kids are back in school this week, so I’ll be working on more handmade items and new tutorials, plus ideas that I’ve had floating around for a while. You can see my latest fabric collection below and buy yardage in my shop now!

Topstitch Studio in Ponce City Market

Hey Atlanta friends! Shop local next weekend at the grand re-opening of Topstitch Studio & Lounge on the second floor of Ponce City Market. Shop owner Leigh Metcalf and her team are busy putting the finishing touches on an amazing space! I can’t wait to see it all, including a wall mural with the illustration above from Sarah Neuburger of The Small Object.
