Work in Progress

I don’t have much to show these days as everything I’m working on is for my book, but I do love having a neat little stack of fabric cut and ready to sew. I know you quilters can relate to that. These are half-square triangles with string -pieced feedsacks and navy linen.

I love these kinds of posts. They let people know you are there and you are being creative but they don’t give it away. Happy HSTs, Ellen!

  • Is the red thing in the foreground some sort of quilting tool I would be interested in knowing about? It doesn’t look like anything I’ve ever seen, not that I don’t always have a bunch of stuff on my cutting table that is not quilt related (like a bottle of Corona). Curious.

Yes, I often have unrelated things on my table too. My seven-year-old just cleaned off my table for me and we found many things that didn’t belong, including a hammer, which I don’t use for sewing! That is a chalk holder. You can change the color of chalk depending on your needs.
