I recently ordered the latest issue of Fat Quarterly as I was excited to see an issue on paper piecing, so thought I’d share with you. Foundation paper piecing is simple with great results, but I’m afraid that many people are reluctant to try it simply because it’s difficult to explain. Here, you’ll find helpful instructions as well as many projects to try out your skills. You’ll also find instructions and projects for English paper piecing and freezer paper piecing, other helpful techniques for piecing quilt projects with accuracy and efficiency.

I just picked up some templates for english paper piecing mainly because this quilting method allows portability of your project. I found a couple youtube videos on this, and one of my favorites is, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2nkCdciXDa8. For any moms out there that have tried to work with a baby in their lap, too cute. I am drooling over this issue! I have dabbled in paper piecing, but it looks like it has a ton of great information and fun projects. I may have to purchase this issue…
Where in the world can I find the pattern for the Kingdom Courtyards quilt by John Q. Adams? I Just found an issue of Fat Quarterly Shape Workshop for Quilters thinking it was in there, but it’s not! Can you help me?
