There’s this fabric on there by Westminster Fibers that has deer and mushrooms on it. I think i had a nightmare like that once. All I know is that would make a sweet pillow or pj bottoms.
What a beautiful store. I love the children’s tie die t-shirts. And, of course, the yarns are out of this world.
I love the yarn – cannot have too much yarn!!
Without a doubt, the yarn and the Brittany knitting needles.
I would have no trouble spending $50 on yarn – what a great shop!
I like the kids’ tye-dyed shirts and all the bags!
beautiful website…
If I had to pick one item, it would be the Knit a Fantasy book. But I cannot pick just one favorite–I love all the yarn and all the fabric . . .
I just have to say I love the Amy Butler “lacework” It’s great.I would have such a hard time trying to make that first cut though….but I sure would love to have that problem!
I think I’d get some yarn and maybe a book! There are so many cool things in their shop. It’s a tough decision.
All the fabric is incredible!
I really like the layout of this store. Very easy to navigate. I love that they sell bees wax in individual colors. I use a lot of that with my kids and it seems like we always need more white then what we have on hand. I will definitely be getting some.
I love all of the yarn and fabrics. Just looking at the website inspires me.
Love the red vintage buttons!
blossom buds fabric–yummy
Oh. I love the vintage fabric 42. The reds and blues are so bright and cheerful.

Ooh, I love the ribbons! Especially the Turquoise Palmette.
I love the vintage blue football buttons!
I love the patterns they have – esp. the hand-drawn folk patterns.
I’m going to have to go for the yarn! Mm, yarn.
Oh, I love the morning glory trim. And much else!
The nostalgic fabrics——–I just love material.
I love the Tina Givens fabric! So cute!
Love the fabric selections and the modeling clay!
I had a plush tomato when I was young that I just loved. I am dreaming up a toy for my 5-month old that involves the Loves Tomatoes fabric, several different kinds of the fantastic ribbon, including the blue Birds, who I am sure would love to sample the tomatoes as they ripen, and maybe some Lamb’s Pride to knit some sections for texture. And, of course, some of the cotton batting!
I love the 3 Vintage fabric and the vintage barkcloth. The big, bright flowers are so pretty.
I’d be hardpressed to find something there that isn’t just awesome, but I loved the fabrics and the plushies making books! so cute!
What a wonderful store! I love the vintage fabric #52. I am going to have to do some shopping there after Christmas when my sewing and knitting hours increase.
All their buttons, but especially the robot ones! so cute. And the great ribbons and trims. so cute.
my favorite thing in the store was the store itself. I love that they have a fabulous selection of yarn and fabric and patterns and notions. It truely is a general store for those who like to dabble in a bit of everything.
Love the finger puppets and the deer & shroom fabric and the mushrooms, everything is so nice! I wish I could see what the vintage fabrics look like…that’s where I would spend my $50. Thanks for the opportunity!
I love the sewing books – I love to sew, but am relatively new to it and need lots of instruction. I like making items, not clothing.
Also love the ribbon selection! Thanks for doing the giveaway.
I like the lace–don’t see that often these days.
Those Lantern Moon Single-Pointed knitting needles are gorgeous. I’m not an active knitter, but I’m considering taking it back on just so I have a reason to buy those needles!
I’m in love with Oliver + S patterns. I also like the array of crochet books that they carry. I’m new to Brooklyn General but excited at the prospect of another great online shop!
What a lovely shop, I am quite impressed!!!
I would like:Tiny Yarn Animals,Vintage Crochet, The Harmony Guides 220 more Crochet Stitches: Volume 7, Kaleidoscope Cashmere Crochet Scarf Kit, & Duckie Animal Kit PA345. That’s way more than $50 would buy but maybe my husband could chip in on it as well. : )
