A Ruffle Wrap Skirt

wrap-skirt

Made this wrap skirt for myself after seeing this one by Louise Hedley at sohomode, whose work I also featured in last week’s Etsy Finds Friday.  I made mine more of a pencil skirt with a straight wrap style, which ended up being a bit asymmetrical when worn.  I wasn’t sure how I’d like it since the wrap style reminded me a bit of Pappagallo bags and whale print wrap skirts from 1984, but I really like how it turned out.  Not to mention super easy and comfortable.

  1. I love the skirt! I have some khaki fabric that needs to be put to some good use. I would love to see a picture of this skirt on you/a model. Thanks for sharing.

  2. I’ve never been a fan of wrap skirts but I think I would LOVE this version with the ruffle. I’m with everyone else though, I’d love to see a picture of the full skirt!

  3. Thanks for all your comments! I always enjoy hearing your feedback.

It’s highly unlikely that I’ll be showing an image of me wearing anything on this blog. Can’t help it. Sorry!

And as for the instructions — this is a basic wrap skirt, so you could probably modify a pattern, but since I was inspired by someone else’s work I don’t think it would be fair to post a tutorial.
