My husband said it is because they can't find the same kind of glass anymore. The prints of the plaza are enough to sell me on this great idea. Maggie's GEMS group is raising money for projects in Zambia. The girls want to do a craft/art fair, and I think we will do something similar for it, if that's okay with you. This may horrify you, but during our study of Van Gogh last month, we talked about the ear event (minus the prostitute) and suicide. It was a hard talk, but the girls had heard the word in the house. (The brother of a family friend took his own life recently.) I kept the talk simple and focused on Van Gogh's mental illness. Like you, I was a bit over the commercialisation of it and it had kind of sucked the joy out of it, but seeing it up close really blew that out of the water. It is absolutely incredible and it just glows. It makes me a little sad knowing that not everyone will have an opportunity to see it though. I love how your prints turned out.
