Goodness knows, we should all appreciate teachers more. Cindy of Skip to My Lou is featuring teacher appreciation gift ideas from guest bloggers over the next few weeks. She asked me to contribute, so I came up with this simple “Thank You” drawstring pouch that can be used to personalize a gift certificate. And the kids get a chance to show off their neat handwriting!
I love the way you have made this look like lined paper. A great idea and one I plan to use for teacher appreciation week (next week for us!). Thank you!
What a cute and great idea (and I’m not just saying that because I am a pre-service teacher either!).
Being a teacher I would love to get one of these – great idea
Those are too cute!
your blog site is so nice! lovely…. ill keep on reading!
THANK YOU!! I have two at two different schools and this is the solution to the dilemma – I can put chocolates, gift cards, whatever. Yay.
This is such a good idea. I thought, Where do you get lined fabric?
You make it, of course. That detail really makes the project, Ellen.
oh what a great idea!!! i love this 🙂
Just wanted to say that I did make these for my son’s teachers, aides, and therapists. I received many compliments on them and my son, who had not seen the completed product until the day we gave them away, wrote me a long note at school about how he hoped that I would make some similar bags for him so he could store his writings. He came home all enthused and we made a larger simplified version for him to store his stories.
