Today we made a granola recipe from Silver Palate oatmeal, found here. We used walnuts, chopped banana chips and dried blueberries, which makes it taste like banana bread. Yum! This is the best granola recipe that I’ve tried so far — might have something to do with the cup of maple syrup in it.
Ooh, that sounds tasty. I may have to give that a try.
I made granola here too today! I used walnuts, almonds, dried cherries and raisins. No maple syrup, just butter and honey. The syrup sounds like a great addition. Enjoy yours!
It sounds wonderful! We’ll have to try it. 🙂
Sounds delicious. I think my favorite thing about granola is that I can add anything AND everything to it!
Definitely sounds great. Anything that tastes like banana bread works for me. I’m not familiar with Silver Palate Oatmeal. Is there something special about it or would any old fashioned, regular oatmeal?
Oh, sure. You could use any kind of slow-cooking oats.
Now THIS recipe for granola looks really good! My husband just found out how much fat and sugar is in the brand he buys at the store. Making from scratch is a good alternative – you are just in time to save the day!
